PEARL JAM POSTPONES LONDON SHOW AS EDDIE VEDDER LOSES VOICE

Pearl Jam was forced to postpone Tuesday night’s (June 19th) show at the O2 Arena in London after frontman Eddie Vedder lost his voice. The band broke the news on social media, writing, “Eddie Vedder has completely lost his voice. He is on vocal rest for the next few days in an effort to heal and perform the remainder of the tour dates.”

The band’s statement added, “”It’s the first time ever having to postpone a show for this reason. Ed and the band are gutted thinking of all the folks who have traveled and made plans.”

Pearl Jam’s last gig before the hiatus was Monday night (June 18th), also at the O2. The band is currently hoping to reschedule the second London show for mid-July, with tickets for the canceled date remaining valid for the makeup performance.

For now, Pearl Jam is set to resume its European tour this Friday (June 22nd) in Milan, Italy — assuming Vedder is ready to continue.

TICKETING PROBLEM LEAVES FOO FIGHTERS FANS STUCK OUTSIDE VENUE

Thousands of Foo Fighters fans were left furious after ticketing issues prevented them from entering the Manchester, England venue where the band was playing on Tuesday night (June 19th). Fans on Twitter reported they were not allowed into Etihad Stadium because the tickets they purchased from Ticketmaster were unable to be scanned.

One fan tweeted: “Just stood for 45 mins waiting to get into the foo fighters Manchester after our tickets purchased on the ticketmaster App was rejected! I was not alone there were loads of us! wonder why we pay so much for tickets when ticketmaster can’t get the basics right!”

A spokesperson for the show’s promoter told The Mirror, “There was an initial problem with 2000 barcodes not scanning. Unfortunately due to human error, a percentage of barcodes provided by Ticketmaster for tonight’s Foo Fighters concert at Etihad did not work.” The promoter said the problem was eventually resolved and emphasized that it was not due to any error on the part of Foo Fighters.
