Avenged Sevenfold will debut a new song called “Mad Hatter” online on Monday (September 17th) after sharing a short preview of the track over the weekend. The tune was recorded for the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 video game and will be included on an upcoming EP containing all four songs the band has written and recorded for the Call Of Duty: Black Ops franchise. Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan has revealed to the Des Moines Register that the band is working on an 10th anniversary reissue of its fourth studio album, All Hope Is Gone, that will feature bonus material. Crahan also hinted that the band is planning a potential 20th anniversary celebration for its 1999 major label debut. While he used to look at anniversary projects with disdain, Crahan admitted, “Now I can look at it and go, ‘Wow. The fans need to see this.’” (The PRP)

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has shared video footage of guitarist Kirk Hammett taking a tumble during the band’s September 11th concert in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In the short clip, Ulrich can later be seen mocking Hammett by pretending to also fall on stage. Ulrich captioned the video, “Careful in Sioux FALLS (geddit!?)… #wanna #metinsiouxfalls @kirkhammett @robtrujillo.” To add insult to injury for Hammett, the show in Sioux Falls set an attendance record, with more than 12,000 fans on hand to see him hit the floor. Weezer covered Blink-182‘s “All The Small Things” during the former band’s headlining set this past weekend at Chicago’s Riot Fest. Blink was originally scheduled to perform at the event, but had to cancel its show there and the rest of its fall tour due to drummer Travis Barker‘s ongoing medical issues. Weezer was recruited as a last-minute replacement and paid tribute to their occasional tourmates by playing one of Blink’s biggest hits. (Spin)

The Struts have revealed the details of the follow-up to their debut album, Everybody Wants. The band’s second LP, YOUNG&DANGEROUS, will be released on October 26th. The band has also released a new track, “Bulletproof Baby,” which comes on the heels of first single “Body Talks.” SingerLuke Spiller said, “We have poured our blood, sweat and tears into this album and I know you are all going to love it.” (LouderSound)
