1969 Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin is released.

1974 The Kiss album Hotter Than Hell is released.
1976 Keith Moon plays his last show in North America with the Who at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto.
1982 Van Halen Day is declared in Worcester, Massachusetts, by Mayor Sara Robertson, after local residents collect 25,000 signatures on a petition requesting that the band add a third area show to their tour.
1984 Several Van Halen albums are recertified: Women And Children First is double-platinum, Van Halen II is triple platinum, 1984 is quadruple platinum, and Van Halen is quintuple platinum.
1990 Mookie Blaylock makes its live debut at the Off Ramp Cafe in Seattle. The band is soon rechristened Pearl Jam.
1996 Best Of Volume 1 by Van Halen is released.
1998 Over four thousand fans showed up at an Mentor, Ohio, shopping mall to meet a reunited Black Sabbath — Ozzy OsbourneTony IommiTerry “Geezer” Butler, and Bill Ward — and have them sign copies of the band’s live double CD, Reunion.
2000 R.E.M. performs “Fall On Me” and “Losing My Religion,” along with the new song “I’ve Been Too High,” during a surprise appearance at the Land Aid festival in their hometown of Athens, Georgia.
2001 P.O.D. lands its second consecutive platinum album with Satellite.
2002 Foo Fighters release their fourth album, One By One.
2008 One full decade after an official new Guns N’ Roses song is last released, the band sends the title track of its upcoming album, Chinese Democracy, to radio stations nationwide.
2017 Marilyn Manson bassist Jeordie White, who performs under the name Twiggy Ramirez, is accused of rape by former girlfriend Jessicka Addams of the band Jack Off Jill. Addams’ claims, which date back to when they were a couple in the 1990s, lead to White being fired from Manson’s band.
