2002 Guns N’ Roses fans riot after the band’s tour opener at GM Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, is cancelled when frontman Axl Rose doesn’t show up.

2002 The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame announces that its newest inductees are AC/DC, the Clash, the PoliceElvis Costello & the Attractions, and the Righteous Brothers.

2002 U2 frontman Bono is honored by the American Irish Historical Society as its 2002 Gold Medal recipient at the organization’s annual dinner at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City.

2006 Foo Fighters release their first live album, an acoustic set called Skin And Bones.

2006 Panic! At The Disco opens its first headlining arena tour in Sunrise, Florida. The stage production features a drum riser doubling as a merry-go-round; a stage design that blends the circus, a vaudeville show and an S&M club; and a group of dancers that included a mime in corn rows, a tattooed contortionist and a dominatrix.
