1976 “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen peaks at Number Nine on the pop chart, where it stays for two weeks.
1995 Courtney Love gets into a brawl with fans at an Amsterdam, Holland, club, after someone douses her with a cup of liquid during a Hole concert.
2003 Creed is sued by four fans who want their money back after a disappointing show in Chicago on December 29th, 2002. The lawsuit charges that during the show, singer Scott Stapp was “so intoxicated and/or medicated that he was unable to sing the lyrics of a single Creed song.” The fans ask for reimbursement of their ticket charges of $56.75 each, plus parking charges.
2004 System Of A Down stages their Souls 2004 benefit concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The concert comes on the 89th anniversary of the Armenian genocide, during which 1.5 million Armenians were killed by Turkey’s Ottoman Empire during World War I.
2007 Rage Against The Machine and former Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello issues his first solo album under the alias the Nightwatchman, a collection of political folk songs called One Man Revolution.
2013 Fall Out Boy‘s fifth studio album and first in four years, Save Rock And Roll, debuts at Number One on the Billboard album chart, selling 154,000 copies in its first week of release.
