Godsmack frontman Sully Erna was asked in a recent interview on Los Angeles radio station KLOS which bands continue to inspire him. Erna replied, “That’s a really good question, especially in today’s day and age. There’s just a lot of stuff out there that I’m just concerned about. I don’t wanna say it’s bad, I don’t wanna say it’s good, I’m just saying that I’m a little concerned about music right now. I feel like there’s a lack of true bands out there.”

SCOTT WEILAND’S ESTATE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO COVER HIS DEBTS

Late Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland was reportedly so deeply in debt when he died in December 2015 that his estate may not be able to pay back all his creditors. His ex-wife Mary Weiland, who is the estate administrator, filed documents late last year stating that City National Bank had a claim of nearly $692,000 owed by the vocalist, while the Riverside County Department of Social Services filed a lien to the tune of $1,026,268, in addition to other creditors. THE ROLLING STONES RELEASING 15-ALBUM VINYL BOX SET

The Rolling Stones will release their latest limited-edition box set on June 15th, titled, The Studio Albums Vinyl Collection 1971-2016. According to the press release, the collection includes all the band’s studio albums “from Sticky Fingers through to Blue & Lonesome in faithful and intricate original packaging replications. Every album has been lovingly remastered and cut at revelatory half-speed at Abbey Road Studios, from vinyl specific original tape transfers designed to get the very best possibly sound from the format.”

Each album is pressed on heavyweight 180-gram black vinyl and includes a download card for HD digital redemption of the catalog and includes a numbered certificate of authentication.
