2003 Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl marries Jordyn Blum.

2004 Meat Puppets bassist Cris Kirkwood is sentenced to 21 months in prison after pleading guilty the previous May to a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Kirkwood attacked a security guard with the guard’s own baton outside a Phoenix post office on December 26th, 2003.

2004 U2 frontman Bono sings at a private funeral for Susan Buffett, the wife of billionaire investor Warren Buffett.

2005 Killers frontman Brandon Flowers marries his longtime girlfriend, Tana Munblowsky, in a secret ceremony in Hawaii.

2005 Green Day severs its ties with Lookout! Records, the independent punk label that released several early EPs and albums by the band. The trio regains control of its catalog from Lookout, effectively putting the label out of business.

2007 Marilyn Manson is sued by former keyboard player Stephen Bier, who performed with the band under the name Madonna Wayne Gacy. Bier accuses Manson of “filching millions of dollars the band made over the years” with the help of his manager, lawyer and business manager, spending band money on a lavish wedding, Nazi memorabilia and bizarre items such as the skeleton of a Chinese girl.

2011 Word surfaces that Breaking Benjamin frontman Ben Burnley has filed a lawsuit claiming that he should have sole ownership of the band’s name after firing guitarist Aaron Fincke and bassist Mark Klepaski over their involvement in an unauthorized remix of one of the group’s songs.
