Dare to C.A.R.E Program in Dare Co. is supported by the Rotary Clubs of the Outer Banks, COA, and many community volunteers including medical professionals, Doctors and Certified medical sonographers.
Eligibility for free screening
Age 60+ with risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking or family history of cardiovascular disease.
Individuals over the age of 50 who have any of the listed risk factors are also considered at-risk and eligible for free screenings.

Since September of 2023 nearly 500 Dare County resident have been screened during monthly screening held at the COA Campus, the Baum Senior Center, KDH as well as community churches.
