2006 Evanescence singer Amy Lee officially announces bassist William Boyd‘s departure from the band.

2008 Linkin Park‘s latest Projekt Revolution tour kicks off in Boston. Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington and former Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell team up for a performance of Temple of the Dog‘s “Hunger Strike” during Cornell’s set, and a run through Linkin Park’s “Crawling” during that band’s show.
