DAVE GROHL ALMOST FALLS FROM STAGE AGAIN DURING FOO FIGHTERS SHOW

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl nearly booked himself a return trip to the “rock throne” he used onstage in 2015 after breaking his leg during a concert in Sweden. This time, Grohl got tripped up momentarily during the Foos’ recent set at the Welcome To Rockville festival in Jacksonville, Florida. In footage posted online, Grohl can be seen stumbling over a speaker onstage, but this time he’s able to brace himself with his arms instead of hitting the ground below. Story Source: Exclaim

METALLICA COVERING SONGS BY LOCAL MUSICIANS AT EACH STOP ON EUROPEAN TOUR

Metallica has added a fun and unusual feature to its shows on the band’s current European tour: at each stop, guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo have been covering a track by local musical heroes — often choosing songs that are far removed from the band’s traditional metal sound. The “doodles,” as the band refers to them in their setlists, have been showing up right before Trujillo’s solo on “(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth.” Story Source: Ultimate Classic Rock

New Smashing Pumpkins Music Video

The Smashing Pumpkins filmed a new music video for their upcoming single “Solara” on Tuesday (May 8th). Frontman William Corgan released a photo of the video, which finds him standing next to a birdcage and looking similar to his Adore-era self. “Solara” is one of eight new songs the reunited Pumpkins recorded ahead of their upcoming tour, although release plans are yet to be announced.
